Features:

Four Player Reactor is an excellent multiplayer action reflex game for all Android devices. Four Player reactor pits up to four players against each other in an epic series of mini-games to see who has the fastest reflexes and the sharpest wit. Four Player Reactor has many different mini-games including: Hit When White, Hit When Color Matches the Word, 5 Different Shapes, Can the Mouse Get to the Cheese, and many more! Four Player Reactor also includes four different levels of difficulty and the ability to create a custom game with only your favorite mini-games included!

In order to begin playing Four Player Reactor you must first choose the number of players and the difficulty of the mini games. On harder modes more difficult mini-games and questions are thrown at you. Also on greater levels of difficulty various elements of the gameplay will become increasingly difficult. I will explain this more later on in the review; suffice it to say that Insane mode is insane. In order to play with more than two players you will probably want to be using a larger device. I would not recommend playing this game four player on a device smaller than the Samsung Galaxy Tablet. This is because the game breaks down your available screen space in to four individual sections so that each player may participate. With too small a device it becomes difficult for all of the players to be able to keep their fingers on or near the device in order to participate in the game. For phones we recommend 2 Player Reactor.

For a quick game of Four Player Reactor the application will decide what mini-games you play based on the difficulty level you chose and on it’s own random algorithm. One of the easiest games to play is “Hit When White.” In this game both players must try to be the first player to touch their own space on the phone or tablet when the middle area of the game turns white. If you hit the screen before the middle changes to white then you lose a point, and if you are the first player to hit the screen when it turns white then you gain a point. It is an extremely simple concept, but is very difficult with four players each trying to be first; and nearly impossible on insane mode. On insane mode “Hit When White” becomes “Hit If You Can.” You get about a millisecond to hit the screen when it changes color or you will miss the opportunity and lose a point. Yes, insane mode is truly insane and not for the light of heart.

In “Can the Mouse Get to the Cheese” the players both have to try to follow a maze that appears on screen in order to determine whether or not the mouse can get to the cheese at the end of the maze. If the mouse can you need to hit the screen as fast as you can before the maze changes and the mouse can no longer make it. This concept is extremely similar to that of “Hit When White” and pretty much all of the mini-games follow in this pattern. They are all reflex based which is why this game is called Four Player Reactor.

As I stated earlier there are many many other mini-games in this application and a full list is in the description of this application. Unfortunately there are way too many of them to describe each individually, but fortunately they all follow the same pattern. You are looking for something on the screen, when you see it hit the screen in your corner and score a point if you reacted quickly and correctly. If you hit the screen too early or on an incorrect answer you lose a point. The game is really that simple.

Finally, the custom game feature allows you to choose what mini games to play, how many points it takes to win a round of mini-games and other options for an ideal playing experience. Anything that you wish to customize about the order or style of the games you can here. You can have it play the games of your choosing in the order of your choosing or randomize the order. It allows you change the language of the game into one of the 19 languages available for the game,  it also allows you to turn on and off vibration, and the adaptive game mode which makes the game more challenging for two players. The developer really put a lot of time in to this game to make sure the experience was one that everyone would enjoy.

Fun Factor:

Four Player Reactor is extremely fun to play with friends. Everyone groups around your devices and frantically hits the screen trying to be the first with the right answer. This is my go to multiplayer game to play with friends while waiting to be seated at a restaurant, while bored at work, or while waiting for a train. It is especially effective on easy mode with children between the ages of 7 and 10 because many of the mini-games are somewhat educational in nature, but are extremely easy to play and comprehend at a young age.

Some of the mini-games are ridiculously hard and geared towards a much older age group. For the ideal game playing experience I recommend setting up a custom game with all of your favorite mini-games in the game list.

Addictive:

Four Player Reactor is extremely addictive. I think this is because Four Player Reactor is a reflex game. Everyone can understand a reflex game and nobody likes to be the person that is a second too slow to hitting the screen for the correct answer. This will make you play the game over and over again trying to fine tune your reflexive skills and show up your friends!

Graphics:

The graphics for this application are not amazing nor are they groundbreaking, but I wouldn’t expect them to be. This is a reflex game and not a first person shooter the graphics of the game should match the game style and this game does just that. Some of the puzzles are more graphically involved like trying to determine if two three dimensional ladders are the same size when far apart. Or the various object games where objects of different types and colors move around and you need to match sets or wait for ones of a completely different variety.

Another excellent thing about this game is that the developer puts out seasonal editions of the game when the holidays come around. Changing shapes to reindeer, snowmen, and Santa Claus. This makes the game more fun for the whole family and is something that most developers would not even consider.

Accelerometer, Vibration & Sound:

Four Player Reactor makes no use of the accelerometer nor does it need two. None of the mini-games could possibly utilize this function of the device with Four Players Involved.

Four Player Reactor does make use of vibration to register when players touch the answering section of the screen. Unfortunately nothing is done with sound throughout the game. It is possible that a good soundtrack could add to the already exciting gameplay, maybe this will be an option down the road.

Should you Download 4 Player Reactor? Yes! 4 Player Reactor is an excellent reflex game for Android. It allows you to play with up to four players in an epic duel for reflex kingdom! This game comes with 20 different mini-games, 19 different languages, and many other features that can be customized by the player. Perhaps it’s only flaw is it’s lack of sound and higher end three dimensional visuals.
